Hummus is one of the easiest dips to make. I usually make sure i have a can of chick peas on my top shelf at all times. This time i decided to add a little sesame flavour to the hummus to give it something a little different.
Start by
- draining a half the juice out of a can of chickpeas. (keep half so that it is viscous enough)
- adding chickpeas and the juice to a container suitable for a blender
- 2 tbs of lemon juice
- 2 tbs of olive oil
- 1 tsp of sesame oil (very strong stuff so watch out)
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of black pepper
Now once you have it tasting almost how you want it, put it in a bowl to serve.
To give a nice look sprinkle on some
- black sesame seeds
- paprika
- cayenne pepper (spicy)
