Carrots usually have the same taste no matter how you cook them, especially in a saucepan. But adding a few spices can give it the kick of flavour that make you just go out and by a bag of carrots.
Usually Ill add a mixture of the following, going for a more asian feel try
- soy sauce
- honey
- maple syrup
- lemon/lime juice
- salt/pepper
- cayenne pepper
- sesame oil
- garlic
- ginger
